Donna Debs is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher who has been studying yoga since 1986 and teaching yoga since 1993. She has trained with some of the top Iyengar yoga teachers in the world including Patricia Walden, Joan White, Lois Steinberg, Gabriella Guibillaro, and many others. She has also trained with the Iyengar family in Pune, India. Donna was originally certified and taught in the Kripalu tradition before beginning many years of Iyengar training; she achieved her Iyengar certification in 2001.
Donna is also certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
In addition to teaching group and private yoga classes, Donna is also a professional writer and writes the Sunday slice-of-life column for the Daily Local News in West Chester, PA and the Times-Herald, The Main Line Times, The Reporter, and The Mercury in Montgomery County, PA.
For ten years she was a news reporter, writer and editor for KYW Radio in Philadelphia, and for 25 years she had her own writing/communications business.
It is always Donna's goal to use her communication experience to convey information to her students in the clearest way possible, and to create a warm, friendly, inclusive atmosphere that enables each student to grow in mind, body and spirit through the addition of yoga in their lives.
